I wasn't there and he asked my wife for extra money when I wasn't there and she paid him because she didn't know. The most important thing is that the quality of the work was very low. He didn't cover anything when he painted the walls and did the tiling and there was paint on our blinds, on the shower and bath walls, on wood trim. He didn't fix the ceiling crack. We had to spend about 10 hours cleaning all the dust out of the cabinets and off all our toiletries. When i complained, his response was that the bathroom was a mess and he didn't think we would care. When I complained about the ceiling he said that that was not something he could easily fix (even though it was specifically what I had hired him to fix. I believe he damaged the outside of the house when he installed the fan (the wood right below it had cracked and insulation was coming out, and it's hard for me to imagine I hadn't noticed it until immediately after he installed the fan. He said he didn't do it and I didn't have proof, so now there is more damange than the work he has done. He is a nice man who surely needs the work, but the quality of the work was so low that I can't leave a good review.
